A Grade II listed building presented a complex refurbishment brief, with funding and buildability questions that needed answering before the design could be committed to.
We led cost planning from inception, testing the emerging design against budget at each stage. We advised on procurement and buildability alongside the design team, and provided funding input to support the client's investment decisions.
A tested, credible cost plan gave the client and design team a shared basis for decisions from the earliest stages, rather than discovering affordability problems once the design was fixed.
